The Australian Institute for Nanoscience

Sydney University has recently undertaken construction of a new 10,000 M2 state of the art building adjacent to the current Physics building which will house The Australian Institute for Nanoscience. The AIN building will contain:

  • World class precision laboratories
  • Cleanrooms and microscope suites
  • Sustainable office design
  • A café, green roof, breakout spaces and a cycling facility.

JustMats were selected to provide various floor finishes to the project, including the entrance mats, stair nosings and tactile indicators.

Cremorne reserve is a 100 foot reservation that extends for approximately 3 kilometres around the Cremorne Point Peninsula with numerous access points from surrounding streets. Two ferry wharfs link the Reserve to Circular Quay and other locations on the northern side of the Harbour. The newly awarded 5 Star Green Star Melton Library and Learning Hub in Victoria is the first library in Australia to be honoured with such an award. The benefits of this newly created sustainable building range from significant reduced costs to a healthier, more productive place to learn. Ecoglo F7-171 stair nosing was used, incorporating custom designed row markers with glow in the dark technology, easily identifying seating for members, guiding them down the stairs, reducing the incidence of everyday slips and falls with superior step edge contrast. The Sydney Cricket Ground began work on a new state-of-the-art modern pavilion, replacing the existing Noble, Bradman and Messenger stands in late 2012. The new works will uncover  a four level stand, offering spectators better viewing facilities and improvements, including seats closer to the field of play, the largest video screen of any at an Australian sports ground and enhanced catering with superior dining and bar areas, including a roof terrace which will set a new benchmark for Australian sports venues. In addition to the sweeping views of the SCG, the roof top terrace located on Level 4 will offer spectacular views of the Sydney CBD skyline which is only a few kilometres from the ground.

Royal North Shore is one of Sydney’s oldest and most respected hospitals.
